I can really really connect with the frequent mentions here of 'human scale'. When things are desperate, the feeling that one needs to do 'big' work that creates huge 'impact' is insistent. And yet, that simply does not work for me (does it for anyone?). It seems to me that not only risks one's self, but can easily lead to more of the same kinds of issues and problems. The lust for enlightenment is still lust, after all. So here's to human scale, even if it feels doomed or hopeless. I imagine that is how the grain of sand that causes the landslide, or the snowflake that sets of an avalanche (or doesn't) might feel.... All power to your human scale elbow Michael.
